Louis Vuitton Multicolore Sharleen

I often ask myself when I visit the boutiques if the Multicolore line is still popular. I don't mean any offense to anybody but it seems a little dated to me. But since LV has released yet a new style called the Sharleen, I guess it still has its market. Decorated with feminine bows and pleats, it really draws on Murakami's playfulness. I see that the tedious silk screening still comands a hefty price of $2820 for the GM and $2520 for the PM. What dy'all think?

Louis Vuitton Monogramissime Collection

About a month ago, Julia sent me this when she visited her local Maison (Thanks, J): I didn't know what they were then, but I knew that they were definitely part of the collection of the Alligator Bowling bag that I saw in Manila. Called the Monogramissime , the pieces combine the iconic Monogram canvas with exotic skins particularly python and alligator creating a truly glamourous bag. At £4000 a pop, they are only available in stores. LVoe it!!! Bordeaux Vert Gris

Hong Kong as a woman: Louis Vuitton launches international film series

Louis Vuitton launched a new short film series February 22 hoping to capture the essence of different cities from across the globe in relation to gender. Hong Kong is the subject of the debut film and presents the Asian destination as if it were a woman with appearances from students, various career women and rising star in Asian cinema Grace Huang. Directed by Jean-Claude Thibaut, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Armani and Dolce & Gabbana, the film is the first in a series to be uploaded on Louis Vuitton's YouTube channel. Focusing on cities from across the globe, the pictures will use gender as "a lens to interpret each city's identity." The project's gender-related metaphor is an interesting one, following on from the recent surrealist release from Italian label Miu Miu -- which saw women transforming themselves into dresses and starred Italian actress Maya Sansa. Directed by Italian moviemaker Giada Colagrande, short film "The Woman Dress" was the third installment of the label's Women's Tales Saga, which was made to explore "the feminine love affair with Miu Miu".

Louis Vuitton Summer 2012

Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama

When I first started getting into LV, a documentary film by Loic Prigent entitled Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton was my nightly viewing habit. In it, I met the Japanese avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama and her influence on MJ. I believe the documentary even implied that part of the 2007 Spring Summer Collection was inspired by her with those ubiquitous polka dots. Currently, Louis Vuitton is supporting Ms. Kusama at the Tate Modern in London with an exhibit from February 9 to June 5, 2012. Kusama and Louis Vuitton will also collaborate for several art pieces, which will be showcased in the Bond Street Maison’s dedicated exhibition space. I can't wait for the "Inspired Collection" from MJ. LVoe it!!! For the Tate, visit here. . For LV's click here.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Kibo Sac à dos

Gosh, I haven't really been paying attention to my LV's so I do apologize for the lack of postings recently. I found this in my press kit and got really excited. Featured here is a runway piece from Men's Spring Summer 2012: the Sac à dos in Monogram Kibo écru. This one is definitely for the boys since it LVooks like hiking gear. Crafted out of canvas, I am super worried about all that vache leather underneath.

Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Figheri

Making the rounds this Fall is the super summery Figheri in Damier Azur. Nothing beats a classic, functional tote and this latest addition fits the bill perfectly. What I LVoe about it, is the pattern play at the top that makes a very appealing twist to an otherwise ho-hum shape. GM and PM are in stores now.
